Dual Nano USM motors provide fast, smooth and virtually silent autofocus suitable for both stills and video. Minimum focusing distance is 2.3 ft / 0.7 m, allowing close-up detail at the wide end. The constant f/2.8 aperture maintains exposure and depth-of-field control throughout the zoom.
