A 24.2MP APS-C sensor and DIGIC X processor deliver high-resolution stills and UHD 4K 30p video. Sensor resolution and lens reach

The 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor provides detail for large prints and cropping headroom. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II uses 651 points for subject tracking across the frame. The 18-45mm zoom covers wide to short telephoto while the 55-210mm extends reach for distant subjects; both have variable apertures of f/4.5-6.3 and f/5-7.1 respectively. The electronic shutter reaches 15 fps for action sequences.

Build integration and expandability

The camera body accepts RF-S and RF lenses via the RF mount and adds a Multi-Function Shoe for compatible accessories. UVC livestreaming support allows direct USB connection to a computer without extra hardware. The included 49mm filter thread fits the supplied UV, CPL and FLD filters. The 64GB card stores hundreds of RAW files or hours of 4K footage before offloading.
