Camvate 18" Right-Angle BNC to RED Timecode Cable

SKU CH-4XJ5-5X73Z

An 18-inch right-angle BNC to RED timecode cable feeds sync signals from a generator to RED cameras in tight spaces

  • Right-angle BNC fits tight camera rigs without strain
  • 18 inch length keeps timecode runs clean and short
  • Secure BNC-to-RED link delivers stable sync signals
  • Purpose-built for RED cameras except RED One
  • Rugged construction withstands daily professional production use

Right-Angle BNC to RED Timecode Cable

The Camvate 18" Right-Angle BNC to RED Timecode Cable connects a timecode generator with a BNC TC in/out port to a RED camera for synchronization. It excludes the RED One model from compatibility. The right-angle BNC connector provides a low-profile fit for tight spaces and reduces cable strain. This cable is built for professional video applications requiring reliable timecode transmission.

Replaces Straight BNC Cables in Confined Rigs

The right-angle design replaces a straight BNC connector where clearance behind the camera or generator is limited. The jump is worth it when cable routing must stay close to the body to avoid snagging or bending stress. Standard straight cables protrude further and can weaken the port over time. This cable solves that mechanical interference without changing the electrical path.

Limited to RED Camera Timecode Input

The cable carries only a timecode signal into the RED camera’s dedicated port and does not pass video or audio. It cannot be used for genlock, tally, or any other BNC function the camera may offer. The 18" length fixes the maximum separation between generator and camera. Longer runs require a different cable or an extension not covered by this product.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the right-angle BNC connector need behind the timecode generator?

The right-angle BNC connector sits flush against the generator panel, so only the cable's 18 inch length extends outward, making it suitable for tight rack spaces.

Which end connects to the RED camera and which end to the timecode generator?

Plug the right-angle BNC connector into the timecode generator's BNC TC in/out port, then attach the straight RED connector to the camera's timecode input — reversing them will not carry signal.

Will the RED connector wear out after repeated mating cycles on set?

The RED connector is a standard locking type rated for professional production use; inspect the pins for bending and clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol if signal dropouts appear.
