Replacement battery for Shure GLX-D systems

This lithium-ion cell replaces the Shure SB902 and SB902A packs used in GLXD1, GLXD2 and MXW2 digital wireless transmitters. It delivers the same 3.7 V nominal voltage and 1100 mAh capacity as the original module. A fully decoded chip communicates with the host exactly like the factory battery. The pack is certified to ISO9001, RoHS and CE standards.

1100 mAh capacity and runtime headroom

At 4.07 Wh the cell powers a typical GLX-D transmitter through a full performance or rehearsal session. Runtime scales with RF output setting and temperature; expect noticeably shorter life when the transmitter runs at maximum power or in cold environments. The battery reaches peak capacity after two or three complete charge cycles. It is not suited for multi-day events without recharging.

Physical and electrical limits of the SB902 form

The pack measures 72.64 x 18.45 x 18.70 mm and weighs 32.2 g, matching the OEM footprint exactly. It fits only devices that accept the SB902/SB902A mechanical and electrical interface. The protection circuit prevents over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit, but the cell cannot be charged by the transmitter itself — an external Shure charger or compatible dock is required. Do not expose the pack to temperatures above 60 °C.
