Performance holds at the rated distance; beyond that length the standard does not guarantee the same throughput.

UTP limits in noisy or outdoor runs

As an unshielded twisted-pair design, the cable relies on balanced signalling and is not rated for outdoor burial, direct sunlight or high-EMI environments such as industrial machinery cabinets. Installers needing alien-crosstalk immunity or outdoor durability should choose a shielded or armoured alternative.
