What the camera is and who it fits

The BZBGEAR BG-ADAMO-JR12X-B is a 2-megapixel PTZ network camera that streams 1080p video at up to 60 frames per second. It targets live-production teams, houses of worship and educators who need a single compact camera with integrated tally lights and auto-tracking. The 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor delivers full HD over IP, HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 simultaneously. Buyers who require 4K resolution or more than 12x optical zoom should look elsewhere.

Connections and build integration

Power, data and control travel over one Ethernet cable thanks to PoE support, while a DC 12 V supply is also included. Video leaves the camera through HDMI, SDI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 or IP streams using RTSP, RTMP, RTMPS, ONVIF or GB/T28181 protocols. Serial control is available via RS-232 in and out plus RS-422 compatible with RS-485. A 3.5 mm line input handles dual-channel audio, and a microSD slot accepts cards up to 1 TB for local recording. The tally lights and power switch sit on the body for quick studio status checks.

Capacity and practical limits

The 12x optical zoom covers a horizontal field from 6.57° at telephoto to 70.28° at wide, with vertical range from 3.76° to 42.06°. Supported output formats include 1080p at 60, 50, 30, 25, 59.94 and 29.97 Hz, 1080i at 60, 50 and 59.94 Hz, and 720p at 60, 50 and 59.94 Hz. USB 2.0 delivers MJPG at resolutions such as 1920×1080, 1280×720, 1024×768 and 1024×576. The camera tops out at 1080p60, so productions needing higher frame rates or larger sensors will hit a ceiling.
