Mechanical Lug for Dual Conductors

This BURNDY K2A26U mechanical lug accepts two conductors up to 2/0 AWG stranded copper or aluminium. It provides a single-hole termination on a 1/4 in stud for panel or busbar connections. The aluminium body is rated for 600 V and 194 degrees F maximum operating temperature. Installers use a slotted head to secure each wire.

Single-Hole Mount Frees Busbar Space

The lug mounts through one 0.27 in diameter hole, leaving adjacent busbar area open for other terminations. Its 1.27 in tongue width and 0.81 in tongue length fit standard NEMA drilling patterns without overlapping neighbouring holes. The 0.19 in tongue thickness adds mechanical rigidity while keeping the stack height low. Two conductors land in one footprint instead of two separate lugs.

Aluminium Body Handles Continuous 600 V Loads

The aluminium construction dissipates heat during sustained current flow up to the 600 V rating. Slotted-set screws maintain clamping force on both conductors through thermal cycling at 194 degrees F. The design suits panel boards, motor leads and service entrances where load is steady rather than momentary. It is not suited for applications requiring insulated barrels or multi-hole mounting patterns.
