Tight-fit Micro USB cable

The BUCIER cable uses a 90-degree angled Micro USB 5-pin connector that fits against the device body so it can be plugged in where straight connectors would hit a case edge or adjacent port. It terminates in a standard USB 2.0 Type-A plug for host connection. The 10 cm length keeps slack to a minimum on cramped desks or in equipment racks. It is intended for any device that accepts a Micro USB interface.

Power and data in daily use

The link runs at USB 2.0 speeds with a 480 Mbps data rate while simultaneously delivering up to 5 V at 2 A for a peak of 10 W. Because the conductors handle both channels together, a phone or tablet can charge while syncing files with a laptop. No active electronics are inside the cable so it draws no power of its own and generates no heat beyond normal resistive loss.

What the angled plug changes

The right-angle moulding redirects the cable run parallel to the device edge instead of protruding outward, which prevents accidental levering on the port and lets the device sit flush against a stand or dock. No driver, firmware or bundled software is supplied; the cable relies entirely on the host controller and device firmware for enumeration and charging negotiation. It does not add any protocol support beyond the USB 2.0 specification.
