This 1000BASE-T SFP module provides a copper RJ45 interface for Gigabit Ethernet links up to 100 metres. It is built for network administrators who need to populate an open SFP slot on a switch, router or server with a standards-based copper connection. The transceiver is coded for full HP compatibility and initialises identically to the original OEM part. It suits environments where fibre cabling is not required or available.

MSA compliance and OEM coding

The module meets Multi-Sourcing Agreement standards so it operates alongside other OEM or third-party transceivers without configuration conflicts. Pre-loaded OEM-specific configuration data ensures the switch recognises the device immediately and reports accurate diagnostic information. Digital output monitoring is not supported, so the host system will not read optical power or temperature telemetry from this copper transceiver. The firmware is tested for packet integrity and reliable link negotiation.

Commercial temperature range and LED indicators

Rated for 0 to 70 °C operation, the transceiver suits standard data-centre and wiring-closet conditions. Front-panel LEDs show power, link activity, full-duplex status and speed, giving instant visual confirmation of link health. The RJ45 connector accepts standard Category 5e or better patch cables and the LC duplex form factor fits any SFP cage that follows the MSA mechanical outline. At 1 oz the module adds negligible weight to high-density chassis.
