Compact office scanner for fast archiving

The Brother ADS-1800W is a sheet-fed document scanner built for desktop use. It captures colour pages at 30 ppm and monochrome at 30 ppm with a peak rate of 60 ppm. A 20-sheet automatic document feeder handles plain, thick, thin, recycled, business and embossed cards as well as plastic ID cards. The CIS sensor delivers 600 dpi optical resolution with 48-bit colour and 8-bit grayscale depth. USB and wireless LAN give PC-free scanning direct to network folders or cloud services.

Duplex feed and wireless freedom

Duplex scanning captures both sides in one pass, halving the time needed for two-sided contracts or invoices. The 20-sheet ADF means short batches load once and run unattended. Wireless LAN lets the scanner sit anywhere within range of the office router, removing a USB cable run across the desk. USB remains available for direct PC connection when a wired link is preferred. The white chassis matches modern office aesthetics.

Check your workflow before ordering

Verify that your workstations run Windows 10, Windows 11 or macOS 11 through 13 to use the supplied drivers. Ensure the wireless network uses a compatible security standard for the scanner’s LAN module. Confirm that daily volumes suit a 20-sheet feeder; higher throughput jobs will need a larger capacity device. The unit scans one sheet at a time, so bound books or fragile originals cannot be fed.
