ICX 7450 4-Port 10GBase-T Module

The Brocade ICX7400-4X10GC is a switch module designed for the ICX 7450 series. It adds four 10GBase-T ports to an existing chassis, giving network administrators a simple way to expand copper connectivity. The module targets environments that need additional 10 Gigabit Ethernet links without moving to fibre. It installs directly into a compatible ICX 7450 switch.

Four RJ-45 ports at 10 Gbit/s

Each of the four RJ-45 ports supports a maximum data transfer rate of 10 Gbit/s over twisted-pair cabling. The module handles 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet protocols on the same interfaces. Capacity is fixed at four ports, so deployments requiring higher port density must populate additional modules or switches. The 10GBase-T standard provides reach up to the cable limits defined by that specification.

Hot-swap expansion for ICX 7450 chassis

The module slides into an available slot on a Brocade ICX 7450 switch, using the chassis power and backplane connectivity already present. No separate power supply or external cabling to the module itself is required. Adding this module frees up fibre uplink ports for other tasks while serving copper endpoints. It is not suitable for switches outside the ICX 7450 series or for standalone operation.
