What This Adapter Does

The Brainwavz DisplayPort to DVI adapter connects a computer or laptop with a DisplayPort output to a monitor, projector or HDTV that accepts a DVI input. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz as well as 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and 720p. The gold-plated connector resists corrosion and the built-in latch secures the connection. A separate DVI cable is required to complete the link.

Check Your Ports Before Buying

Verify that your source device has a standard DisplayPort socket and that your display has a DVI input. The adapter is unidirectional and converts only from DisplayPort to DVI; it will not pass a signal from a DVI source to a DisplayPort screen. The converter draws power from the DisplayPort connection itself and needs no external supply. Ensure the release button is pressed before unplugging to avoid damaging the latches.
