Oil Spill Kit for Oil-Based Liquids

The Brady Spc Absorbents SKO-BKT is a white spill kit designed to absorb oil-based liquids. It comes in a 6-1/2 gallon bucket and includes ten oil-only pads and three oil-only socks for containment and cleanup. One pair of nitrile gloves and a disposal bag are also supplied for personal protection and waste handling. This kit suits facilities that need a ready-to-use response for hydrocarbon spills.

Bucket Container and Sorbent Layout

The 6-1/2 gallon bucket holds all components so they stay together until deployed. Ten pads measuring 15 by 19 inches cover surface films while three socks measuring 3 inches by 4 feet wrap around equipment or form barriers. No mounting fasteners are included so the bucket can be placed on a shelf or transported to the spill site. The kit meets EPA 40 CFR 112.7 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and 1910.22 requirements.

Nine-Gallon Absorption Capacity

The kit absorbs up to nine gallons of oil-based fluid per kit giving headroom for moderate spills. Once the pads and socks are saturated they must be replaced so larger or repeated incidents will need additional kits.
