The BONAEVER DB9 RS232 adapter converts a standard 9-pin D-SUB serial port to screw-terminal connections for field wiring. It is intended for technicians and engineers who need a reliable male DB9 interface with a protective enclosure for bench or panel work.

Screw-Terminal Wire Range And Mounting Constraints

The adapter accepts solid or stranded wire from 12 to 24 AWG using screw-clamp terminals rated at 0.2 Nm torque. Four cable-entry holes of 5 mm, 6 mm, 7 mm and 10 mm diameter limit the maximum cable jacket size, and the 3 mm fixing holes on 6 mm centres restrict mounting options.

Copper Alloy Contacts And Compact Form Factor

All terminals use a copper base with gold-plated pins for stable conductivity across serial signalling voltages. The ABS and PC case measures 58 by 35 by 21 mm and weighs 30 g, providing enough room for terminated wires while remaining small enough for dense equipment racks. It cannot accommodate cables larger than 10 mm or wire gauges outside the 12-24 AWG range.
