8-in-1 ATX PSU Tester

The BONAEVER 8-in-1 ATX PSU Tester checks power supplies for desktop PCs and workstations. It reads voltages from motherboard 20-pin and 24-pin connectors plus CPU, PCIe, Molex, floppy and SATA power leads. A 1.8'' LCD screen shows each rail and a buzzer sounds when a value falls outside the normal range. It is built for technicians and builders who need quick verification before installing a unit.

Connection requirements and freedoms

The tester draws its own display power from the 20-pin or 24-pin ATX connector, so no battery or external adapter is required. Plug the main connector first, then attach the 4-pin CPU, 8-pin EPS or 6-pin PCIe plugs as needed; the tool cannot accept an 8-pin PCIe connector. Hot-plugging is not supported, so the power supply must be off while cables are connected. This lets you confirm +12V, -12V, +5V, -5V, +3.3V and +5V standby rails without loading the system.

Behaviour under sustained load

The LCD updates continuously while the supply runs, letting you watch voltage stability over time rather than only at start-up. The audible alarm triggers immediately if any rail drifts beyond specification, giving early warning of degradation that a single POST check might miss. Because the unit has no active cooling, it is intended for bench sessions rather than permanent inline monitoring.
