Self-contained 6-zone paging system

The Bogen DRZ120 is a self-contained music and paging system designed for installations requiring zone-specific audio distribution. It serves facilities such as schools, offices, or retail spaces where independent zone control is necessary. The unit integrates a tuner and multiple input options into a single chassis. It provides a complete solution for background music and voice announcements.

Three external audio inputs expand source

The system includes dedicated MIC, LINE, and AUX inputs to connect microphones, music players, or other line-level sources. Users can select one to four zones for music or paging independently. This allows simultaneous background music in some areas while paging others. The built-in tuner adds a direct radio source without external equipment.

35-watt output drives 4-ohm, 25-volt.

The amplifier delivers 35 watts of audio power compatible with three common speaker system types. It supports 4-ohm direct connections as well as 25-volt and 70-volt constant-voltage lines. Installers must match the speaker wiring to one of these supported impedance or voltage ratings. The fixed output power limits the total coverage area and maximum volume level.

Questions about this item

Does the DRZ120 require any periodic maintenance such as filter cleaning or capacitor replacement?

The DRZ120 is a self-contained 6-zone music and paging system with no user-serviceable filters or scheduled capacitor replacement intervals mentioned in the design.

What limits continuous operation — thermal protection, amplifier headroom or zone-switching relays?

The 35-watt amplifier drives 4-ohm, 25-volt or 70-volt speaker lines, and sustained output at full power will eventually trigger the internal thermal protection circuit.

How much fan noise and heat does the unit produce when paging all six zones for hours?

With 35 watts of audio output and no external cooling specifications, the chassis dissipates heat passively so fan noise is absent and surface temperature rises with continuous high-level paging.
