Universal laptop charger

The Blueskysea universal AC adapter replaces 65 W and 45 W laptop chargers across HP, Sony, Toshiba, ThinkPad and Fujitsu notebooks and ultrabooks. It accepts 100-240 V input at 50-60 Hz and delivers selectable DC output at 18 V, 18.5 V, 19 V, 19.5 V or 20 V up to 70 W maximum. UL certified with Level VI energy efficiency, it includes built-in safeguards against short-circuit, over-current, over-voltage and over-heating.

Voltage range and headroom

Five fixed output voltages cover the common 18 V to 20 V range used by the listed brands, while the 70 W peak provides headroom above the 65 W and 45 W ratings it replaces. The adapter runs out when a device demands more than 70 W or requires a voltage outside the five selectable steps, so it cannot serve larger workstations or gaming laptops with higher power draw.

Tip selection and daily use

Fifteen right-angle tips are supplied: fourteen round and one square, covering sizes such as 4.5 mm x 3.0 mm, 7.4 mm x 5.0 mm, 4.0 mm x 1.7 mm, 7.9 mm x 5.4 mm, 11 mm x 5.0 mm, 3.0 mm x 1.1 mm, 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm, 5.0 mm x 3.0 mm, 6.5 mm x 4.4 mm, 5.5 mm x 1.7 mm, 4.8 mm x 1.7 mm, 4.0 mm x 1.35 mm, plus colour-coded 7.4 mm x 5.0 mm yellow and 4.5 mm x 3.0 mm blue tips for specific HP models. Swapping tips lets one charger serve multiple laptops, though users with proprietary or newer connectors not in the set will need a separate solution.
