Five-camera wireless kit

The Blink 53-024847 system includes five outdoor cameras, a Sync Module 2, mounts, screws and AA lithium batteries. It is designed for homeowners who want battery-powered coverage around a property without running network cables to each location. The cameras record 1080P video with a 110-degree field of view and connect to the Blink Home Monitor app on iOS, Android or Fire OS. Alexa integration allows voice control for live view and arming.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi constraint

Each camera communicates over IEEE 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz, so the system must be within range of a compatible router or extender on that band. Walls, metal cladding and competing 2.4 GHz traffic can reduce the practical distance between a camera and the Sync Module. The module itself connects to the router via USB power and handles the link to the Blink cloud service. No 5 GHz or wired Ethernet option is provided for the cameras.

Two-year battery headroom

Blink states up to two years of operation per camera on the included AA lithium cells under typical motion-triggered recording. Continuous live view, frequent motion alerts or cold temperatures will shorten that interval. Cloud clip storage requires a Blink subscription plan after the free trial ended on 31 December 2020; without a plan only live view and motion alerts remain. The five-camera limit is fixed by the kit contents.
