100 m Cat.6a UTP Cable for 10 GbE

This Black Box GigaTrue cable carries 10 GbE traffic over a full 100 m run. It is built for server-to-server, storage and switch links in data-centre backbone and zone cabling. The ETL-verified construction meets component-level and channel-level Cat.6a performance requirements. PoE and PoE+ support allows it to power VoIP phones, wireless access points and security cameras without a separate supply.

Sustained 10 GbE throughput at 100 m

The cable maintains 10 GbE signal integrity across the entire 328-foot distance rather than only at shorter lengths. ETL verification confirms that attenuation, crosstalk and return-loss stay within Cat.6a limits during continuous high-speed transmission. Cat.6a channel distance limit

The 100 m figure is the maximum channel length defined by the Cat.6a standard for 10 GbE operation. Beyond this distance the standard does not guarantee the required bandwidth or error rate. PoE and PoE+ voltage drop also increases with length, so the 100 m bound applies to both data and power budgets. Installations needing longer runs must add intermediate switches or use fibre instead.
