The BirdDog MAKI Ultra is a compact box-style video capturing device designed for live-production crews, esports broadcasters and event streamers who need flexible mounting and remote operation. Its small footprint allows placement in tight rigs, on band equipment or at unusual angles where larger cameras cannot fit. The 20x optical zoom and 61.2° wide-angle view let operators frame tight close-ups or full-stage shots without moving the unit. PoE support simplifies cabling by delivering power and data over a single Ethernet run.

NDI HX2 HX3 SDI HDMI USB UVC Outputs

The camera sends video over NDI|HX2 and NDI|HX3 for low-latency IP workflows while simultaneously providing physical SDI, HDMI and USB/UVC connections. SDI is capped at 1080p60, whereas HDMI and USB/UVC each maintain independent resolution settings for direct input into Microsoft Teams, Zoom or other conferencing platforms. A built-in halo tally gives on-air status at a glance, and color matrix, API and Kelvin controls allow remote colour matching across multiple units. PoE removes the need for a local power supply at the camera position.

4K60 Capture 12x Zoom Low Light Headroom

UHD 4K60 recording delivers full-motion detail for replay, highlights and archive footage, while the 12x zoom range covers most stage and studio distances without digital cropping. Exceptional low-light performance keeps noise controlled when stage lighting dims, extending usable shooting hours into evening events. The 1080p60 SDI ceiling means long-haul SDI runs cannot carry the 4K signal, and the fixed 20x optical limit leaves no headroom for tighter telephoto needs beyond the native range.
