Generator Extension Cord 15 ft 50A

This 15-foot generator extension cord uses a 6/3+8/1 AWG pure copper cable rated for 50 amps at 125/250 volts. It connects a generator to a transfer switch or inlet box for whole-building backup power. The cord carries a 12,500-watt maximum load and is UL certified for safety.

STW Cord Limits Temperature IP44

The STW jacket allows indoor and outdoor use across a temperature range of -104°F to 221°F. An IP44 rating protects the connectors against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1 mm. The twist-locking ring keeps the plug secure in high wind, rain or snow without slipping.

N14-50P CS6364 Connector Match

The cord terminates in an N14-50P plug and a CS6364 locking connector. Verify that both the generator outlet and the inlet box match these exact configurations before purchase. Builders whose equipment uses a different plug pattern or amperage rating will need a different cord assembly.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15-foot length or a shorter cord for my generator setup?

The 15-foot STW cord reaches from a generator placed safely outdoors to a home inlet while staying flexible in cold weather.

What does the 12,500-watt rating mean when I run appliances at home?

At 250 volts the cord delivers up to 12,500 watts, enough for essential circuits like fridge, furnace and lights during an outage.

How does the CS6364 twist-lock connector affect what I can plug into?

The locking ring seals to IP44 and mates only with a matching CS6364 inlet, preventing accidental disconnects in wind or rain.
