Eight-outlet 20 A surge strip

This 1200-joule surge protector delivers eight industrial-grade 6-20R T-slot receptacles rated for 20 A at 125 V. The 15 ft 12 AWG cord feeds up to 2500 W of continuous power to workshop tools, bench equipment or office workstations. A rugged metal housing resists impact, rust and fire while an integrated overload switch trips automatically on over-voltage, over-current, overload, high temperature or short-circuit events. Center-to-center socket spacing of 1.57 in accommodates bulky transformer plugs without crowding.

Circuit and mounting check

Verify that the installation site provides a dedicated 20 A branch circuit with a matching 6-20R receptacle or hard-wire provision. Confirm the mounting surface can accept the four supplied screws and that the chosen bracket orientation — horizontal, vertical, left-facing or right-facing — clears adjacent equipment. Thermal and power behaviour

The metal chassis acts as a heat sink, keeping the strip cool during sustained loads up to the 20 A rating. The overload switch operates silently until a fault occurs, at which point it trips with an audible click and cuts power instantly. No fan is present, so acoustic output is zero in normal operation. Power draw equals the connected load only; the strip itself consumes negligible standby current.
