It provides sixteen remote-controllable Midas-designed microphone preamps and eight servo-balanced XLR outputs in a rackmount chassis. Build Integration

Dual AES50 ports with Klark Teknik SuperMAC technology link the stage box to a compatible digital mixer or to a second S16 for expanded channel counts without a dedicated network switch. Two ADAT optical outputs feed external recorders or processors, while ULTRANET connects directly to a P16 personal monitoring system for performer mixes. MIDI in and out plus a USB port handle remote control and firmware updates, so the box fits into existing show-control workflows. Front-panel metering and phantom-power switches give immediate access without a laptop.

Sustained Operation

The preamps maintain consistent gain and low-noise performance across all sixteen channels during full-length shows, and the servo-balanced outputs drive long cable runs without signal degradation. SuperMAC networking keeps latency and jitter stable over AES50 links even when multiple units share the same cable path. The headphone monitoring point lets engineers verify any channel in mono at any time, and the 7-segment display confirms routing status at a glance throughout the event.
