The translucent purple finish shows the original device colour while adding a shatter-proof layer. Buyers with any other Dell model or non-360-hinge Chromebook cannot use this case.

Fit and coverage limits

The shell matches the exact dimensions of 11.96 by 8.19 by .85 inches (303.9 by 207.9 by 21.5 mm) so every port, vent and hinge stays accessible. Because the mould is model-specific, it will not fit other 11.6-inch Dell laptops or earlier Chromebook generations.
