Sterile Gauze Sponges for Minor Wound Care

This pack contains 50 individually wrapped 4-by-4-inch sterile gauze sponges designed for cleaning, covering and applying medication to minor cuts, scrapes and burns. The low-linting construction helps keep wounds cleaner and reduces the risk of irritation during dressing changes. Suitable for home first-aid kits and clinical wound-care supplies.

Compostable Material and Single-Use Design

Each sponge is made from compostable material and intended for one-time use, so it cannot be sterilised or reused after opening. The sterile barrier remains intact only until the individual wrapper is broken, limiting the product to situations where a fresh, disposable dressing is appropriate. No adhesive border is included, so a separate tape or rolled gauze is required to secure the pad in place.

Replaces Basic Cotton Pads and Non-Sterile Gauze

The sterile, low-linting format upgrades from ordinary cotton balls or non-sterile gauze when a cleaner wound environment is needed. The jump is worth it for post-surgical incisions, deeper abrasions or any injury where fibres left in the wound could delay healing. Not suited for heavy exudate wounds that require high-capacity absorbent dressings or adhesive-bordered island pads.
