Baldwin B163 spin-on filter

The Baldwin B163 is a spin-on oil and transmission filter rated at 18 micron for full-flow lubrication circuits. It is intended for maintenance on heavy-duty equipment and automotive fleets where a direct-thread replacement is required. The integrated bypass and anti-drainback valves protect the system during cold starts and pressure spikes. 18 micron rating and flow headroom

An 18 micron media captures fine contaminants while maintaining adequate flow for typical lube and transmission pumps. The 8 psid bypass valve opens only when the element is heavily loaded, preventing oil starvation under extreme restriction. In very high-volume or heavily contaminated systems the filter will reach its dirt-holding limit sooner and require shorter change intervals. It is not suited for ultra-fine filtration demands below the rated micron level.

3/4-16 thread fit and valve integration

The filter threads onto a 3/4 inch -16 mounting boss, so the host equipment must provide that exact port. No additional adapters or sealing washers are included in the package. The built-in anti-drainback valve eliminates the need for a separate check valve in the circuit, freeing up plumbing space. Installers should verify thread compatibility before ordering because mismatched ports will leak.
