10 ft Cat 6 purple patch cable

The BAFO Technologies MUTP6-10PRB is a ten-foot Category 6 patch cable in purple. It uses a snagless boot design that protects the locking tab during installation. The cable is intended for standard wired network connections in home or office environments. It is supplied new and ready for immediate use.

Who this suits and who it does not

This length works well for short runs between a wall jack and a desktop, laptop or switch. Builders who need longer horizontal runs, in-wall rated jackets or different colour coding should look at other options. The patch-cable construction is not designed for permanent installation inside walls or ceilings. Buyers who require outdoor-rated or plenum-rated cable cannot use this product.

Category 6 performance rating

The cable meets the Category 6 standard for twisted-pair Ethernet cabling. That rating determines the bandwidth and crosstalk performance the link can support. No other specification overrides the category when selecting the right cable for a given network speed.

Questions about this item

Does the 10 ft length reach from a desktop to a wall jack?

The cable measures 10 ft end to end, which covers typical desk-to-wall runs in a home or small office.

How do you attach the snagless connector without breaking the latch?

Press the boot gently until the tab clicks into the port; the snagless hood protects the latch from catching on adjacent cables during removal.

When should the patch cable be replaced?

Replace it if the purple jacket shows kinks, the boot splits, or the connector tabs no longer hold securely in the port.
