This 37mm Master High Transmission Circular Polarizer MRC Nano filter is built for photographers who want to cut glare and boost colour saturation straight in the camera. It suits both analogue and digital workflows where reflective surfaces such as water, glass or glossy paint would otherwise flatten contrast. The rotating mount lets you dial the effect precisely while composing through the viewfinder or on the monitor.

Polarisation Limits and Light Loss

The filter blocks horizontally polarised light, so it only works on non-metallic reflections; it cannot remove glare from bare metal or mirrors. Its multiplying factor of 2 to 3 means exposure must be increased by roughly one to one-and-a-half stops, which can push shutter speeds lower in dim conditions. Extreme wide-angle lenses may still show uneven polarisation across the frame despite the slim mount.

Simple Thread-On Installation

The filter screws directly onto any lens with a 37mm front thread, requiring no tools or adapters. The most common issue is forgetting to remove a protective filter first, which can cause vignetting or prevent the polariser from seating flush.
