Diameters and Practical Headroom

The spinners measure 25 mm, 30 mm, 38 mm and 45 mm, equivalent to 1, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.77 inches. The smallest head reaches tight foot-rings on cups while the largest spans broad vase shoulders. Between those limits the set handles most functional forms a studio potter turns daily. Very large platters or tiny miniatures fall outside the useful range.

Hand-Powered Interface Limits

Because the spinners rely on finger pressure against a rotating wheel, torque and speed are limited by the maker's grip and wheel rpm. Hard porcelain or heavily grogged clay can stall the smaller heads if downward force is high. The aluminum alloy resists wear but will deform if dropped on a concrete floor. No powered drive or interchangeable cutters are included.
