What the cable does and who needs it

The AUTYUE USB 4 cable connects two USB-C devices at up to 40 Gbps and delivers up to 240 W of power. It suits users who need a short, high-speed link between a laptop and a dock, monitor or external drive. The 0.5 m length keeps desks tidy while supporting 8K video output at 60 Hz when both host and display support DP Alt Mode. Backward compatibility covers Thunderbolt 3 and 4 as well as USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 ports.

Sustained-load behaviour

The cable maintains its 40 Gbps data rate and 240 W power delivery during extended transfers or charging sessions. An integrated E-Mark chip negotiates PD 3.0 contracts up to 48 V at 5 A and protects against short circuit, overcurrent and overcharging. The 22 AWG copper cores and 56 Ω pull-up resistor ensure stable voltage under continuous load. Nylon braiding and strain relief survive more than 20 000 cycles of 90-degree bending without rupture.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive construction means no fan noise and no active cooling requirement. The aluminium shielding and braided jacket dissipate heat from the copper cores during high-current operation. Power draw is determined entirely by the connected charger and device; the cable itself adds negligible resistance. The E-Mark chip monitors temperature and current to keep the link within safe limits during prolonged 240 W charging.
