Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Austere 7S-PS4-US1 and is anything extra needed?

The unit includes four AC outlets and three OmniPort USB ports — USB-C PD 45W, USB-C PD 20W and USB-A 2.4 A — so you can plug in and charge devices immediately. No separate accessories are required.

How do I choose between the USB-C 45 W and USB-C 20 W ports when charging?

Use the USB-C PD 45 W port for laptops or tablets that accept higher power, and the USB-C PD 20 W port for phones or smaller devices; both negotiate the optimal rate automatically.

What does the 3500 joule rating mean once the protector is installed?

It indicates the total surge energy the Flameless MOV circuitry can absorb over its lifetime, and the design is rated to last more than five times longer than typical power strips while maintaining protection.
