Compact four-outlet surge protector

The Austere 3S-PS4-US2 provides four side-mounted AC outlets in a slim graphite housing that sits flush against the wall. Two OmniPort rapid-charging USB ports, one USB-A and one USB-C, deliver up to 2.4 A total for phones, tablets or accessories. Rated at 2500 joules, the unit uses PureFiltration and Flameless MOV technology to absorb spikes without fire risk. A blue shield LED indicates active protection and extinguishes when the joule reserve is depleted.

Thermals noise and power draw

The surge protector operates silently with no moving parts and draws no measurable power when idle. Flameless MOV components dissipate excess energy without generating significant heat during normal household spikes. The 2500-joule rating is designed to last more than five times longer than typical power strips, so replacement intervals remain long under everyday use. The LED indicator provides a visual check without adding audible or thermal load.

Build quality and daily mounting

Measuring 5.8 in wide, 4.125 in high and 2.5 in deep, the low-profile case fits behind furniture or a wall-mounted television. Keyhole slots allow secure wall mounting while the side-facing outlets keep cables close to the surface. Graphite finish resists fingerprints and blends with modern décor. Lifetime warranty coverage reflects the manufacturer’s confidence in the durable housing and internal components.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 5.8"W x 4.125"H x 2.5"D unit flush to the wall and avoid blocking the side-mounted outlets?

Use the built-in wall-mount slots to secure the protector directly to the wall; the four AC outlets face sideways so furniture can sit close without pressing against the plugs.

When does the blue protection shield LED indicate the 2500-joule MOV layer is depleted and the unit must be replaced?

The LED stays lit while protection is active; once the joules are exhausted the light goes out, signalling that the Flameless MOV can no longer clamp surges and the protector should be swapped.

What is the maximum combined output of the USB-A and USB-C OmniPorts when charging a tablet and phone simultaneously?

The two ports share a 2.4 A total current limit, so a tablet drawing the full 2.4 A will leave no current for the second device until the load drops.
