Single-port KVM over IP

The ATEN KN1000A-AX-A adds network-based remote control to a single VGA server or KVM switch, giving administrators BIOS-level access through a standard browser or Windows and Java clients without visiting the rack. It is aimed at IT teams that manage distributed infrastructure and need reliable out-of-band troubleshooting when the primary LAN is unavailable.

Built-in power switching and serial console

A local single-port power switch lets operators cycle the connected server on, off or reboot remotely, while an optional ATEN PDU expands managed outlets for larger deployments. The Laptop USB Console port provides quick local KVM access from a laptop, and serial console redirection allows remote management of network switches and other serial devices.

Replaces on-site crash carts and basic remote tools

This unit removes the need to dispatch staff for routine reboots or BIOS changes, especially where no native IPMI or iDRAC exists. The jump is worth it when out-of-band access over modem backup is required and when a single appliance must combine KVM, power control and serial console for one critical host.
