Integrated Rack Console

The ATEN CL1000M combines a 17-inch LCD panel with a PS/2 keyboard and mouse in a single 1U rackmount drawer. It provides direct local access to connected servers without requiring a separate monitor, keyboard or mouse on the rack. The unit supports DVI and USB KVM links for video and peripheral signals. Data-centre technicians and system administrators use it to manage equipment at the rack face.

Display Capacity and Limits

The built-in LCD delivers a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, suitable for standard server management interfaces and text-heavy consoles. Higher-resolution video sources will be scaled down to this native grid, so fine-detail graphics or multi-window layouts lose clarity. The single-rail mechanism keeps the display and input devices together when stowed, limiting the console to one local user position per rack unit.

Build Integration Requirements

The console draws power from a 100-240 V AC supply operating at 50-60 Hz, compatible with standard rack PDU circuits worldwide. It occupies exactly 1U of vertical rack space and mounts on a single sliding rail. PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports are integrated, so attached KVM switches or servers must provide PS/2 interfaces or use appropriate adapters. No external monitor, keyboard or mouse is needed at the rack.
