QRP HF Transceiver for Portable Operators

The ARCTIC uSDX+ Plus V2 is a compact QRP SSB HF transceiver with embedded DSP and SDR functions. It targets radio amateurs who want an all-mode portable rig for field operation or home use. The open-source firmware invites experimentation and community-driven feature development. It is not suited for operators who require high-power output or built-in automatic antenna tuning.

BNC Antenna Port and DIY-Friendly PCB

A single BNC connector feeds the eight HF bands, so one antenna system covers 10, 15, 17, 20, 30, 40, 60 and 80 metres. The PCB reserves pads for hardware upgrades, letting builders add filters or custom circuits without redesigning the board. Integrated speakers remove the need for external audio gear in minimalist setups. Builders needing multiple simultaneous antenna ports or a dedicated keyer jack must add external switching.

Eight-Band Coverage with DSP Filtering

The transceiver operates across the 10, 15, 17, 20, 30, 40, 60 and 80 metre bands supporting SSB, CW, AM and FM modes. DSP functions such as AGC, noise reduction, attenuation, TX monitoring and VOX extend usability in crowded band conditions. The KDS TCXO provides frequency stability for narrow digital modes. Output power remains at QRP levels, so long-distance contacts depend on propagation and antenna efficiency rather than raw watts.
