Knockout plugs for 1-inch trade-size boxes

Arborix knockout plugs seal unused 1-inch openings in electrical junction boxes. The 40-piece pack supplies enough units for multiple residential or light-commercial wiring jobs. Black nylon construction resists corrosion and impact in indoor or protected outdoor locations. Each plug snaps in without tools once power is off.

Snap-in bushing protects wire insulation

A built-in snap bushing forms a smooth radius around the knockout edge so cable jackets cannot be cut during pulling or vibration. The feature is moulded into every plug, requiring no separate grommet or field modification. This single mechanical detail determines whether the plug meets code requirements for wire protection.

Fits standard 1-inch knockouts in metal

The plugs press into any 1-inch trade-size knockout on steel, PVC or fibreglass enclosures. No screws, locknuts or adhesive are needed, so installation is reversible for future circuit changes. The 1.6-ounce total pack weight adds negligible mass to the assembly.

Questions about this item

How does the 1 inch trade size work once it is installed in a real junction box?

The 1 inch trade size plug snaps directly into a standard knockout hole, and the internal snap bushing grips the cable to stop it from being cut by the metal edge.

What interface or standard does the snap-in design follow, and what does that limit in practice?

The plug uses a tool-free push-in fit for 1 inch trade-size knockouts, so it only works with openings cut to that exact trade dimension.

What does the plug physically need to fit or mount in the box?

It requires a 1 inch trade-size knockout opening and clicks in without screws or tools; the package includes 40 pieces weighing 1.6 ounces total.
