Compact Point Source Design

The Aputure STORM 80c is an 80W LED video light built around the new BLAIR-CG chipset. It delivers 19,850 lux at 1 metre with the included hyper reflector at 5,600K. The fixture covers over 90% of the Rec. 2020 colour gamut using cyan, green and indigo diodes for accurate rendering of fluorescing materials. Its compact form and soft carrying case suit mobile creators and studio professionals alike.

Sustained Output Stability

The 80W engine maintains consistent output across the full 1,800K to 20,000K CCT range during extended takes. Green-magenta correction and indigo augmentation keep colour fidelity steady without the drift common in single-source LEDs. Professional metrics stay locked at CRI 97, TLCI 99 and CQS 96 throughout long sessions, so grading time is reduced. The point-source optics preserve punch and shadow definition even after hours of continuous use.

Rec. 2020 Gamut Limits

Covering more than 90% of Rec. 2020 means most HDR workflows are served, yet the outer gamut corners remain unreachable. Productions targeting the absolute extremes of BT.2020 saturation will still need supplemental fixtures. The 80W ceiling caps maximum lux at distance, so large-area key lighting at high CCT demands multiple units. White-point control above 20,000K or below 1,800K is not available on this model.
