This skid suits gaffers and cinematographers who regularly place the STORM 700x on floors, carts or shelves and need to prevent tip-overs with front-mounted modifiers. It is not for users of other Aputure fixtures or lights from different brands, as the mounting geometry is specific to the 700x.
