1-1/2" Press Bronze Y Strainer

This Apollo 59LF007P2PR Y strainer installs on 1-1/2 inch press connections in commercial and residential plumbing systems. Lead-free bronze housing meets potable-water requirements and handles water service up to 250 psi at 100 degrees F. The integrated 302 stainless-steel screen with 0.0313 inch perforations and 840 micron rating traps debris before it reaches downstream valves, meters or fixtures. A 1 inch blow-off port allows cleaning without removing the body from the line.

Upgrade from threaded or sweat strainers

Press ends eliminate open-flame soldering and threaded-joint leaks, cutting install time on copper or stainless tubing. The 70 gpm Cv factor reduces pressure drop compared with smaller-bodied strainers, so the jump is worth it when flow capacity matters and space for a full-port valve is limited. Not for installers who need a flanged connection or a larger blow-off outlet than the 1 inch port provided.

Capacity and headroom for water service

Rated 300 psi maximum pressure and 250 degrees F maximum temperature, the body handles typical hot and cold water mains with margin for pressure spikes. The 840 micron screen passes normal sediment loads while protecting sensitive components; flow falls off when the basket loads beyond the 70 gpm design point. Not for steam, gas or fluids outside the 0 to 250 degrees F range.
