The Apollo 13202 is a cast bronze safety relief valve designed for low-pressure steam heating and supply boilers. It protects systems by opening at a factory-set pressure of 5 psi and reseating within a 5 to 15 psi range. The unit handles a steam capacity of 374 lb/hr and operates at temperatures up to 250 Degrees F.

Build and Connections

The valve body uses cast bronze for corrosion resistance, while the disc and seat share EPDM material suited for steam service. A stainless steel spring provides the actuation force. Connections are 1 in male NPT inlet and 1 in female NPT outlet, allowing direct piping without adapters. An included test lever enables manual verification of valve operation.

Upgrade Context

This valve replaces worn or incorrectly rated relief devices on existing low-pressure steam boilers.
