Return path amplifier for cable modems

The Antronix RRA1-10 amplifies the 5-42 MHz return band by 10 dB for subscriber premises running cable modems and two-way set-top boxes. It is not intended for satellite TV or OTA antenna installations. The forward path passes 54-1002 MHz with minimal loss. A single RF output carries the combined signal.

10 dB gain across 5-42 MHz return band

The amplifier provides 10 dB of return path gain, giving headroom for upstream data from modems and interactive boxes. Gain stops at 42 MHz, so services above that frequency receive no boost. The forward path covers 54-1002 MHz at -1 dB, leaving the return band as the only amplified segment. Impedance is 75 Ohm throughout.

Powder-coated aluminium housing

The lightweight AL 360 housing is powder coated for corrosion resistance and sealed with an RFI gasket for weather protection. All ports survive multiple 6 kV surges using a non-arc gap design that avoids impulse noise. The patented auto-seizing CamPort F-connector ensures maximum contact area and long-term reliability. One RF output simplifies connection to the distribution network.
