This 1/25 scale plastic model kit by AMT reproduces the 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Hardtop "Sweet Bippy" with 49 detailed parts. It is a Skill 2 kit designed for adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy assembling vintage American muscle cars. The box is brand new and officially licensed, containing parts molded in white along with chrome-plated pieces, black vinyl tires and metal axles. Paint and cement are required but not included.

Four Build Options from Stock to Drag

The 4-in-1 design lets you assemble the Galaxie as a stock model, a custom version, a drag racer or a Grand National car, replacing the need to buy separate kits for each style. A custom rear end, 427 engine with header extensions, racing steering wheel and bucket seat are included to support the different builds. The jump is worth it when you want multiple display variations from a single box without sourcing extra parts. Hollow vinyl tires, drag slicks and mag wheels provide the hardware for each configuration.

49 Parts Including Chrome and Engine Detail

The kit comfortably handles a detailed recreation of the 500 Hardtop with its instrument panel insert, colorful decal artwork and vintage-style packaging. Chrome trim detail can be striped on with silver paint for added realism. It runs out when a builder expects pre-painted components or snap-fit assembly, as this kit requires traditional glue and paint work to complete. The unopened manufacturer packaging ensures all 49 pieces are present before construction begins.
