Smart lock for HomeKit homes

The Amcrest ADL220-B is a single-cylinder deadbolt with a full-touch keypad that speaks HomeKit, letting iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch users lock and unlock without a separate hub. It stores up to 51 unique 4-to-8-digit codes so household members, guests or service people each get their own credential. The zinc-alloy body carries an IP54 rating and operates from 14 °F to 131 °F, making it suitable for exterior doors in most climates.

Fits standard doors and runs on AA cells

Installation targets residential wooden doors 1.3 to 1.7 inches thick and uses only a screwdriver; the package supplies interior assembly, exterior keypad, two mechanical keys and mounting hardware. Four AA alkaline batteries (not included) power the 32-bit embedded processor and motorised bolt, removing any need for wiring or a mains connection. The front panel measures 5 by 2.7 by 1 inches and weighs 2.51 lbs, so it sits flush on typical door stiles without extra reinforcement.

Motorised bolt holds position without constant draw

The automatic locking function engages the deadbolt after entry, driven by a motor that draws current only during the throw and retract cycle. With an estimated ten operations per day the four AA cells last up to 12 months, and the mechanical key override remains functional even if the batteries are fully depleted. The IP54-sealed keypad and zinc housing keep moisture and dust out of the electronics during prolonged outdoor exposure.
