Eight ports with loop guard

Eight Gigabit ports handle typical desktop and small-office workloads including video and graphics traffic. Network loop guard technology detects unexpected loops and shuts down the affected ports to stop broadcast storms. Ports automatically recover once the loop is resolved. The switch weighs 2.85 units.

Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet limits

The unmanaged design offers no configuration interface for VLANs, QoS or port mirroring. Throughput is bounded by the Gigabit Ethernet standard on each port. Loop detection relies on Loop Detection Frames rather than spanning-tree protocols. Allied Telesis ships more than 250000 unmanaged switches annually as a reference for production volume.
