The Allen & Heath ZED-10FX is a 10-channel USB audio mixer built for small bands, solo performers and project studios. It provides four mic/line inputs, two of which offer Class A FET high-impedance instrument inputs, plus stereo sources for playback devices. Integrated 48 V phantom power supports condenser microphones without external supplies.

Connectivity that fits a portable rig

Neutrik XLR and 1/4-inch jacks give reliable stage connections, while the configurable USB stereo interface sends a two-channel mix to a computer and returns playback for backing tracks or virtual soundcheck. Separate 2-track record outputs feed an external recorder, and XLR main outputs with inserts allow compressor or EQ hardware in the master chain. DI level switching lets you route instrument signals to a sub-mix or front-of-house without extra boxes.

Passive cooling keeps the desk silent

With no internal fans, the mixer runs completely quiet — ideal for critical listening during recording or intimate venues. The 12-bar LED meters give clear level feedback at a glance, and the 3-band swept-mid EQ with MusiQ shapes tone without adding noise. Phantom power and the onboard effects engine draw minimal current from the internal supply, so the unit stays cool during extended sets.
