The aFe Power digital multimeter fits in a tool bag at 147 mm by 69 mm by 34 mm and weighs 226 g with its 9 V battery installed. A 15 mm high backlit LCD shows readings clearly in dim conditions while the data-hold function freezes values for recording. It targets hobbyists, technicians and anyone needing quick AC or DC voltage, current, resistance, diode and continuity checks without a bench instrument.

Measurement Accuracy Across Ranges

DC voltage reads 200 mV to 600 V with ±0.5 % basic accuracy and ±0.8 % at the top range. AC voltage covers the same spans at ±1.0 % up to 200 V and ±1.2 % at 600 V. DC current spans 200 µA to 10 A with tolerances from ±1 % to ±3 % depending on range, while AC current follows similar steps at ±1.8 % to ±3 %. Resistance measures 20 Ω to 20 MΩ with ±1 % to ±3 % accuracy, and a built-in 200 mA / 250 V fuse protects the current inputs during sustained use.

Thermal and Power Behaviour

The meter operates from 0 °C to 40 °C and draws power only from the supplied 9 V cell, so there is no mains cord or external supply to manage. A low-battery indicator appears on the display when voltage drops, preventing unexpected shutdown during long troubleshooting sessions. Over-range is shown as a single "1" on the screen and polarity is marked with a minus sign, keeping the interface simple and readable.
