Dual-Channel Mirror Camera System

The Adesso OrbitD100 replaces a standard rear-view mirror with a 9.66-inch touchscreen that shows live video from a front 1080p camera and a rear 1080p camera. Both sensors record at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 30 frames per second. A 32GB card is supplied and the unit accepts up to 128GB. It is aimed at drivers who want continuous front and rear coverage without adding a separate dashcam and monitor.

Integration With Vehicle Interior

The unit straps onto the existing mirror using rubber straps, so no permanent mounting hardware is required. Power comes from the vehicle’s 12 V socket, leaving the original mirror adjustment free. The rear camera feeds the display automatically when reverse gear is selected, providing a 142-degree view for parking. Motion detection and a G-sensor trigger clip locking while the car is parked. Buyers who need a hard-wired installation or a second rear camera angle will need a different solution.

Sustained Recording Behaviour

Loop recording overwrites the oldest files once the card fills, so the system never stops capturing footage during long journeys. The G-sensor protects incident clips from being overwritten after a sudden impact. LDWS and FCWS issue audible alerts through the built-in speaker when lane drift or a potential forward collision is detected. Continuous parking surveillance draws power constantly, so vehicles with a battery that cannot sustain the load overnight may lose the monitoring function.
