Thermals noise and power draw

The drive runs from the host USB connection and stays cool during typical reading or writing tasks. Behaviour under sustained load

During long burns at up to 24x for CD or 8x for DVD read the mechanism maintains steady performance without thermal throttling. The USB 3.0 interface supports data rates up to 625 MB/s, keeping transfers fast when moving large image files from SD or TF cards. Note that the SD and TF slots cannot be used simultaneously. Continuous operation across all ports is stable provided the host or the extra power cable supplies adequate current.
