Replacement Power Supply for DBX DI4

This ABLEGRID AC adapter is built as a direct replacement charger for the DBX DI4 four‑channel direct box. It delivers the required DC output through a barrel tip connector and accepts a worldwide AC input range of 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 Hz. The unit is brand new, non‑OEM, and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certifications.

Input Range and Protection Limits

The adapter operates from any mains supply between 100 and 240 volts, covering 50 Hz and 60 Hz grids without a voltage selector. Built‑in over‑voltage and over‑heat protection shut the unit down before damage occurs, but the supply has no battery backup and cannot sustain the direct box during a mains outage. Continuous operation at the upper end of the input range increases internal temperature, so adequate ventilation is required.

Barrel Connector and DC Output Constraints

Power reaches the DI4 through a fixed barrel tip whose polarity and diameter must match the original specification exactly; an incorrect tip will prevent the direct box from powering on. The adapter provides only a single DC output rail with no adjustable voltage or current limiting beyond the internal protection circuits. It is unsuitable for devices that require a different connector format, multiple output voltages or a higher current rating than the DI4 draws.
