This black reclosable fastener uses mushroom-shaped stems at a density of 250 per square inch. It bonds to metals, glass and medium-to-high surface energy plastics and paint using a 300 LSE acrylic adhesive on a polypropylene carrier. The engaged thickness is .23 inches when mated. It replaces screws, clips, rivets, snaps, hook and loop and bolts where access or repositioning is needed.

Sustained closure strength

Mushroom-shaped stems interlock with identical stems on the mating side for 5X greater closure strength than hook and loop. The fastener mates with type 170, 250 or 400 counterparts; the higher the combined number the greater the closure strength. It is rated for a closure life of 1000 cycles, maintaining holding power through repeated opening and closing in applications such as access panels, signage and display components.

Upgrade from hook and loop

This fastener replaces conventional hook and loop, screws, clips, rivets, snaps and bolts where removable access is required. The jump is worth it when you need 5X the closure strength of hook and loop and a 1000-cycle closure life for repeated repositioning. It is not for buyers who need a permanent bond that never opens, or for very low surface energy substrates that the acrylic adhesive does not wet.
